Things keep showing up at my door...
I had a present waiting for me when I got home from work last night...
My 4.10's and a trac lok
And my cobra intake needed cleaned up a bit so I had it repowdercoated. Very happy with the way it turned out
Prolly get around to installing them in the next couple weeks, just want to have all my ducks in a row before I start tearing things apart if you know what I mean...

My Cobra intake needs some cleaning up, and I need a Cobra ERG tube and throttle cable before I have it put on. People want obscene amounts of money for a 96-98 Cobra throttle cable.

you don't need a cobra cable the mark viii cable works you just need to modify your stock throttle bracket.

I've heard that it makes the accelerator pedal feel strange. Is this true? If not then it will make things easier.

I've read that before also but one of the posts I found said something about adding a spring and that takes care of it.
I figured I'd wait to see how it feels and go from there..

It makes the throttle uber light unless you also use your cruise controll cable. Mine is just using an extra spring untill I can afford to have the spacer made.

I might just go with that then since I have read on the cruise control relocation procedure elsewhere. I am eager to get on with the mods as the car is feeling very slow again.

you do not need to relocate your cruise control. You will just need to remake your throttle bracket like i said before. The throttle return spring is made into the cruise cable. I don't know why the pedal would feel any different than it would stock if your hooking both up. I never noticed anyway or at least never gave it any thought. This is all for a second gen as well.

Everything I have read says with the new position and the TB inverted the cable is too short and needs to be relocated under the battery tray. Since this whole procedure is done differently by different people I have been getting different answers. If this were a 5.0 Mustang I could have a manifold swapped on in less than an hour, but this is new territory for me which is why I am having someone else do it.

well i have actually done it and i know for a fact that i used my stock cable in its stock location. I only moved my cruise after getting the kb and it didn't go under the battery tray.

And every other persons thread I have read has actually done it as well. I'm not trying to argue, just stating the advice I have gotten from different people has mostly been different from each other. Since everyone is doing it different so I am leaving it to someone else to install. I am just making sure I have all of the parts available for the install.
