    Replacement Engine

OK, without SERIOUS modification and insane amounts of fabrication, labor, and money, it's not happening. I bet that conversion cost upwards of $10,000.

    Replacement Engine

No way would a 4.6 fit in an LS. It's one of the physically largest engines I've ever seen. It is larger than any of the LSx engines used in the Corvettes/Camaros even though they have more displacement.

How Hard to Change the Spark Plugs?

That sounds about how hard it is on a LT1. My friend asked me to help him do it and I told him no way in hell. He cut up a bunch of his knuckles and gave up 6 hours later, drove it to a shop and had them do it.

    03 LS V8 vs RSX Type-S

Believe it or not, your LS has the equivalent of VTEC as well.

just had a little fun with a gtp..

That's great if you want less horsepower and less torque (at least until the 3-valves came out). That engine is a HUGE engine in the amount of space it takes up and you'd be hard pressed to get it to fit under the hood of an LS.

    Common problems with 03+ V8s

Thanks for the input about the warranties. I checked Ford's warranty site and looked into it and they are priced very well, but it looks like they only want to cover cars purchased in the last 12-48 months. I'm not sure if any '03 I'll get would be covered by such a warranty. I'll probably have...

    Common problems with 03+ V8s

Is this just an 00-02 problem or has it carried into the 03+s?

    Common problems with 03+ V8s

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to hop on the Lincoln LS bandwagon sometime in May, and I've found a couple of good specimens (03, 04 V8s under $20k and less than 40k miles) around Austin that I like. I want to know what to look for on maintenance records, what to check in my personal look-over of the...

    AMAZING MAGNAFLOW DEAL!! $499.97 Shipped

That's a rare problem to have, basically running rich means there's too much fuel in the air/fuel ratio, so there's unburnt fuel in the exhaust and that destroys the cats. Keep up proper maintenance of the car and get any MIL codes checked immediately and you should be fine. Getting a new...

The exhaust system will pass for sure. The only part of the exhaust that takes care of smog control are the catalytic converters, and this system is a cat-back system, meaning it is from the cats back. Your OEM cats will remain on the car, so the emissions should be exactly the same. The exhaust...

    Garage day - Austin, TX

I wish I had my LS already. :( Can Mercury owners play or is it Lincoln only?

    Garage day - Austin, TX

I JUST registered, and I'm going to be getting an LS close to this summer, so maybe then I can swing by and wrench a little bit. I can't wait to get an LS since I'm driving around my 94 Grand Marquis (distant cousin, twice-removed of the LS). I drove a 2003 V6 (blah, sorry V6 owners, but I love...
