Thanks man...once I get a better job, I want another M7 to play with; plans of which do not include the wing, but possibly a flat trunk lid along with the GTC ground effects...Katz

First of all, yes I'm a purist but I also own a street legal 15 second daily driver :) The car is missing like 100 pounds under the hood. It does NOT have to be pretty to be safe and fast! Take it to the track NOW and then watch the times change as the months go by and the corrections/adjustments/replacements come in.

Is Caro anywhere near Atco, NJ :) Your Kid needs to race me and NYC LSC

Caro is in Michigan's thumb. My daughter would like to add nitrous and all the other goodies, but mostly I just want to make it reliable. All I have left is the brake lights (they won't turn off) and then it'll be driveable. I took it for a few mile drive on the back roads and it seems to run real good. Hope to be ready for the meet in Chicago next month.

Any clue as to why the brake lights are staying on?

My first instinct would be the underdash brake light switch. Easy enough to test by disconnecting it.

It was something to do with the brake light switch. I took it out and replaced with the one from my 84 parts car and they work right now. Whoever designed that switch and the method of mounting it was a sadist.

Here in Wichita we have several the run in the 11's that are driven to work everyday. OR, did you mean your Lincoln? If that is the case, then you've done quite a bit of work to get it there. Lincolns are boats. It takes a lot of hp to make them go. :nxsmile

OldSchool2 (http://www.lscclub.org/cars/oldschool2) is a 1989 Lincoln Mark VII LSC with bolt ons. Modified just enough to keep it passing Pennsylvania State Inspection (which is no small feat).

It has taken it's 3800+ lbs down the track in 15.099999 seconds and can be seen in this November 2004 video (http://www.lscclub.org/video/20041126a.wmv) from inside the car :)

I've got NOTHING on a guy named Disney Lincoln :)
