Finally got some pics of my kid's dream car in my photo garage. I know the hood scoop and the carb are not what most think of when they picture Lincolns , "But Dad it looks really awesome!"

Like the cowl, did you make it? dapoppa June 27th, 2005, 11:43 AM Nope this is the way we bought it. Thanks though. katz_blk90se June 27th, 2005, 01:12 PM Finally got some pics of my kid's dream car in my photo garage. I know the hood scoop and the carb are not what most think of when they picture Lincolns , "But Dad it looks really awesome!" Looks pretty cool. I also took the liberty of doing stuff to my car that the purists probably want to hang me for, but hey, the car is yours to do with what you please (within reason anyway)....Katz ILL VII June 27th, 2005, 04:47 PM Same here, tremec 5spd, poly'd suspension bushings, coil springs, removed trim, etc, etc. BTW, i like that car man, just not the wing. :wrench katz_blk90se June 27th, 2005, 05:51 PM Same here, tremec 5spd, poly'd suspension bushings, coil springs, removed trim, etc, etc. BTW, i like that car man, just not the wing. :wrench Thanks man...once I get a better job, I want another M7 to play with; plans of which do not include the wing, but possibly a flat trunk lid along with the GTC ground effects...Katz OldSchool1 July 2nd, 2005, 10:44 PM OMG. Most of the work was done before you bought it! First of all, yes I'm a purist but I also own a street legal 15 second daily driver :) The car is missing like 100 pounds under the hood. It does NOT have to be pretty to be safe and fast! Take it to the track NOW and then watch the times change as the months go by and the corrections/adjustments/replacements come in. Is Caro anywhere near Atco, NJ :) Your Kid needs to race me and NYC LSC dapoppa July 11th, 2005, 01:49 PM OMG. Most of the work was done before you bought it! My daughter would like to add nitrous and all the other goodies, but mostly I just want to make it reliable. All I have left is the brake lights (they won't turn off) and then it'll be driveable. I took it for a few mile drive on the back roads and it seems to run real good. Hope to be ready for the meet in Chicago next month. OldSchool1 July 13th, 2005, 02:03 AM Caro is in Michigan's thumb. Any clue as to why the brake lights are staying on? My first instinct would be the underdash brake light switch. Easy enough to test by disconnecting it. dapoppa July 18th, 2005, 10:21 AM I have family in Tecuseh. Nice clean air. Any clue as to why the brake lights are staying on? My first instinct would be the underdash brake light switch. Easy enough to test by disconnecting it. It was something to do with the brake light switch. I took it out and replaced with the one from my 84 parts car and they work right now. Whoever designed that switch and the method of mounting it was a sadist. I'll save my gas for the Fox body Mustangs with slicks ;) Ronbo July 18th, 2005, 09:08 PM Maybe I am misunderstanding the purpose of the post, so please don't take this wrong, but a 15 sec daily driver isn't out of the ordinary. Here in Wichita we have several the run in the 11's that are driven to work everyday. OR, did you mean your Lincoln? If that is the case, then you've done quite a bit of work to get it there. Lincolns are boats. It takes a lot of hp to make them go. :nxsmile OldSchool1 July 18th, 2005, 10:25 PM Maybe I am misunderstanding the purpose of the post, so please don't take this wrong, but a 15 sec daily driver isn't out of the ordinary. Modified just enough to keep it passing Pennsylvania State Inspection (which is no small feat). It has taken it's 3800+ lbs down the track in 15.099999 seconds and can be seen in this November 2004 video (http://www.lscclub.org/video/20041126a.wmv) from inside the car :) I've got NOTHING on a guy named Disney Lincoln :) | ||||
