New 05 LS8 Question

I just got a new LS8 and I have a question. I'm coming from a Grand Prix GTP and when I press the gas on the LS there isn't hardly any accelleration/torque compated to my old car. I don't know if the engine needs to be broken in (it only has 200 miles on it by now)/ its real wheel drive and my old car was front wheel drive and supercharged, or if it was the computer that needs to adjust to my driving style. I assumed that the engine needed to be broken in, but I'm reading about other people saying they test-drove the car and it was great off the line, which mine isn't. My salesman said the computer thinks that its driver error so it doesn't let the car accellerate.

any feedback?

I know it takes a few runs for the car to adjust to your driving habits.... acceleration/torque should be up there.. you shoudl be able to feel it

it hesitates and then picks up at around 4000 rpm's
