OK after having so much trouble w/my dealership and the whole Ford/Lincoln service center I just couldn't take it anymore and got this..

Sorry was trying to post pic's but it won't work... I got a 2005 BMW 525i. OK there is a little power difference but it only bothers me a little off the line but once it get's going it's GREAT... What a difference inside and out with the workmenship it's such a solid car and drives like a dream..... I can see why Lincoln picked the 5 to model after.. LOVE IT..

there are 3 models to the 2005 5 series
525i 2.5L i6 184hp 19/28mpg
530i 3.0L i6 225hp 20/30mpg
545i 4.4L V8 325hp 18/26mpg

I test drove a 545i and all i'll say is wow.. that car has some balls.. even though i have the v6 LS.. i loved that 545i... if only the car was a lil more roomier, and that screen thing isnt too user friendly.. took my like 10 mins to figure how to get the radio on..

Honest it isn't that bad. I thought the same thing.. My last 2 cars where a 1998 Lexus GS 400 (300 HP) and a 2003 Lincoln LS V8 (284 (I THINK) HP) and even though now I went DOWN to 184hp or what ever it is it's a 6speed auto and other than slow off the line it flys, I'm telling you. I was like NO WAY if I get this car I'm getting nothing lower than the 530i and no way 525i!!! but I joined E60.net (it's a e60 2004-06 BMW 5 Series forum) and found out it's not that much different than the 530 and I saved a lot of money getting the 525. The body is the same, I got the 545 grill (it's all chrome) and it looks hot (haven't taken a new pic yet because it has been doing nothing but rainning cat's and dogs here in MA.) and I'm very happy with the drive and CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW MUCH I SAVE IN GAS :) . The LS has been killing me filling it up w/super is like a $40 + a week, also I saved like a $100 on my car insurance a year (I don't understand why but I did) and as I said other than when you try to floor it from off the line I don't really mis the hp. and what is the best is the steering wheel, it's hard to explain but it's kind of fat and just feels so right in your hands (It's heated too) I will miss all my bell's and Whistles from my LS and my nav. but oh well I got a much better car that will hold it's value a lot better (even though no car hold's is value)

I got a pretty good trade in I think over kelly $19,500. (had high miles, think kelly wanted like $18K)
I got a great deal (I got a 05 for lower than what they where asking for 04's)

I think it's bigger in-side than my LS was at least that is what my friends say when they sit in the back.. And the talk about the I-Drive is a bunch of crap, ya it takes a few minutes but once you get the hang of it it's easy. I almost got a new 06 330i but I thought it was to small inside for me (did have more HP and was really fun to drive I wanted to more leg room and a 5) I also love the Bluetooth in the car for my phone, It didn't come out till 05 for the LS but it's pretty cool and it downloads my phone book and you can set up an other directory and say the name to have the car dial it. It also (option) has Sirus which is cool too.

Well considering how little you would actually ever race another car for a HP vs HP comaprison...you now have ANOTHER beautiful car.

I love the Lincoln LS which I'm sure you do as well.

But the new BMW look is such a soothing, elegant yet "racey" style...you did well.

The NEW Beemer styler turns heads. People know you're somebody when it's going past you whether it's 210HP or 300HP.

Congrats and stick around if you can.

Sweet ride my friend.
