Painting Questions

This is a continuation from my Fender Bender (http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=8257) thread. Now that I have all of the related parts. I will do the reinstallation of all the parts. I want to be ready to send the car straight to the paint booth because the replacement parts are green. I want to try to keep the cost down and only pay for the labor. I want to strip out all of the chrome this time. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect for a paint job for my Mark?

Have you thought of having the parts painted prior to the installation?

painting the parts off of the vehicle might constitute in the paint not matching correctly... i would let your shop do most of the work themselves...I AM A PAINTER IN A COLLISION SHOP BY TRADE... talk to your local shop about what you want to do and if you can, take the pasrts w/you so there is no confusion..
grille painted... $75-100
header panel painted-$50-75
fender bumper painted-$375-500(depending on chips,nicks,scratches,etc.)
top grille chrome painted-$45

these are all approx figures

I was lucky that the hit wasn't very bad. At first I was wanting to repaint the whole car. Based on your estimates, a paint job would probably cost me around $1000. Does that sound about right?
