Hello again

I have bin having a misfire since I bought my car. I am throwing a cylinder 1 missfire. So far I have replaced 1 and the proceding coil packs. This has not helped. It only seems to misfire under light load if I hit the throttle more than 50% I dont think it happens. Any help on my next step would be greatly appriciated. 2000 v8 sport

I have had a #3 misfire code after 2 coil replacements myself. Guys at flatratetech told me to check running compression. In my case, I did that and it came out fine (Thank God). You could have an injector problem. I am leaning toward that myself. Pull your spark plug and see if it smells like raw fuel. Mine did. That doesn't tell me much though. It could be a leaky injector, or a misfire problem. duh... :)

I have also dealt with a leaking fuel injector in an LS. The car wouldn't even start because when the fuel pump was activated one injector stayed on and flooded the engine so it wouldn't start. I have heard of other people with fuel injector problems so I don't have a lot of faith in the LS's injectors.
