had to run back to the shop today to fetch my cam corder since I left it there yesterday after "tech day". Figured, while I was there, might film a couple drive-by's.

Here's the only one that came out. Damned 1-legger!!!

The car sounds really healthy now Craig. You plan on paying a visit to the track after you get all the rest of your exhaust work done? I haven't been there for awhile will probably go within the next couple weeks before it gets too hot.

stock gears(3.07), stock exhaust(except mufflers) stock engine, KILLER tranny, 245/50's

I dont plan to visit the track any time soon. I know what it runs(or doesnt, for that matter). The only change I've made to the drivetrain besides the tranny, is the Mach 1 TC, so it isnt going to run much quicker than last few times out.

Besides, trying to hook up in a street car at Infineon is a waste of time.
Unless you can get into the 2.29-60ft or better range, my stock Mark with 200+ lbs of added curb weight isnt going to do anything more than it did last time out.

tires will be fine and the tranny is under less stress doing that than if you full throttle shift it with tires hooked..

do it atleast once, you only live that many times anyway.

warning, please dont die doing your burnout!!!!! :)

Naaaaa.
Radial tires are MADE to do stuff like that!
Dude. Burnouts eat rubber. After paying $200.00 each for some soft quality road hugging rubber, you won't WANT to do burnouts :) Click to enlarge this two year old street tire.

I have gotten to the point where I need to spray pam on my rear bumper-sides to ease in the removal of rubber.

That is one thing I fault Lincoln's rear muffler location for...removing my shredded rubber from the mufflers after a day at the dragstrip.

anyway, burnouts aren't kind on transmissions...just so you know. The only thing harder on your trans is power-braking burnouts and towing.

just wish my left rear would have spun like the right rear, as it USUALLY does(darn "open" clutched rear ends)

I have done plenty of "two stripe patches" though...but not this time.

ANOTHER CLIP!
just a 1/2 throttle romp so you could hear the mufflers, not the tires!

That was like the time I left a co-worker's retirement dinner. LOL 1/2 throttle. The next day several people complimented. I was like "I was holding it back - you should come to the track sometime and really see it run". LOL :D

Man, that sounds good Craig. Gotta watch you don't attract too much attention though.

well, JP, seeing how you have 7/10ths of a second on me, something tells me your 1/2 throttle is alot like my 3/4 throttle!

Whoaaaaa... you may be right. LOL. I just figured the 7/10ths of a second lead to be 97.5 feet in the 1/4 mile. :eek2:

Still, it does sound better than my DynoMax UltraFlows - and I think they sound good...

...at an idle. :)

Craig doesn't you car catch 2nd gear?? I would think jumping on it like that you get a good cherp?

Mine does ( seller told my trans was rebulit) when I get on it It catch a good sounding 2nd gear cherp
Other than that you car sounds and runs Hot.

Ps is thier a way know if its had the J-mod done, with out droping the pan??

Buddy, I doubt your car has a JMOD, but the only way to know is to drop the pan, remove the main control, remove the separator plate, and measure the holes.

If your car has ANYTHING done to the trans, it would be either a shift kit, or a broken lower 1-2 spring with old style accumulator(most likely).

Most tranny shops re-install the old style accumulators(reason #562 I dont trust tranny shops).

My car will grab second, but with the lower spring in, it will only "chirp" at WOT. If i remove the lower 1-2 spring, coupled with my JMOD, it will annahilate the tire into second at WOT.

Unfortunately you didnt hear/see a shift in that video due to my helaciously low 3.07 stock gears....(need a longer street for a WOT 1-2 shift). I lifted at about 5000 rpms in both vids...
