A few months ago in European Car they had a brief piece on Evolve Cars (http://www.evolvecars.com/phpwcms/index.php) and I read it and I thought "wow, that's COOL, a 400 hp Volvo." Then I just got depressed because the LS is a great platform to start from but do you see any 400 hp LS tuners out there?
No.

And Ford is working WITH them to create these cars. They even put them in the lobby of the PAG as advertising.

Volvo is in alot of road racing these days.

Maybe, but nobody really thinks about Volvos as sport sedans, really. Volvo has an image as the ultimate in safe mommymobiling. Not that people don't think of Lincolns as old-people cars, but the LS is at least recognized as a legit sport sedan.
It's just disheartening.

- but I looked under the hood at the sema show - no turbos - just a nice red intake tube to match the nice red engine cover.
good looking car though.

The LS will get an aftermarket following...eventually. It may end up like the MarkVII, with people hopping them up in a decade. :steering
