My car has those rear headrests. It's my understanding they were standard in the beginning, then eliminated as a cost-saving measure.

I ran my line from the trunk under the passenger compartment then up into the engine bay - following the fuel line for the most part.

Just my opinion - but I would keep as much of the line out of where people are as possible.

I have a 2004 and it has the rear headrest. Says it was manufactured in Jan of 2004.

Same here, my 2004 has the rear headrest. I always thought that was part of the sport package.

I went through where the PCM is - pulled the PCM out and the gasket, ran the wires through and replaced it all.

Okay, maybe they just weren't standard on the base model anymore after '01 or '02 or whatever. Or maybe they brought them back after being discontinued. I remember reading the history of feature changes on LLSOC and the rear headrests were discontinued/made optional at some point. That web page is no longer available, though.

the PCM is behind the glove box. the service manual says remove the glove box then the PCM. I have done it a dozen times, don't remove the glove box (it's a pain) but remove the plastic panel the covers the underside of the dash in the passenger footwell.

lay on the floor and look up - the PCM is in the right upper corner held in by a metal bracket with a nut (8mm i believe) on each end. remove the bracket,

then in the engine bay - remove the plastic vent cowl (a dozen plastic rivets). remove the cabin air filter. remove the air dam behind the air filter (four nuts). remove the air filter compartment (four more nuts).

the butt of the PCM is under all that. you have to then remove the three wiring harnesses from the PCM - center nut on each. the PCM will just 'fall' out. take 45mins.

If you are just looking to get it flashed (to tune it better for NOS) read this ->
