Back in the 80's and 90's Hifonics was the company to go with. I've been out of the stereo scene for awhile now so dont know who to giwth now. My friend says Hifonics is still good. I have a Kicker amp for my small bronco. Not bad. Built in Crossover.

ALPINE V-12 series are some serious amps, nothing but the best!

How many watts RMS are the subs and at what resistance?

I've got the older version of this and it works well. It can definitely overpower the mids and highs if turned up over halfway.

he said they are the older round ones.. which has me clueless.. i thought kicker solobaric speakers were all square ie.. l5/l7 solo x i think he might have the old comps

Nope.. he is right.. i bought the first versions of the solobaricks when they came out and they are indeed round.. I didn't like the sound of them probably cause i didn't have a big enough amp cause they don't pick up mid bass very good at all only time they sounded good was like at 40 hertz and less music like rock they almost couldn't keep up..

The old school solabarics actually sounded pretty good if they were set up properly.
And yes, they were round.

I have a new Hifonics 2400 watt @ 2 oms stable and I love it. really nice amp pushes my 15in Hifonics sup well, could use more power, but still nice
