When it rains, my 1995 Lincoln Towncar trunks takes on a lot of water-- anyone know of a fix?
Thanks, geener :feedback

I think this is somewhat of a common problem. Does your seal look good? If not replace it. Can you park so that the trunk is facing downhill? That should let the water run down instead of pooling up under the trunklid.

Yes, I have tried that, and it helps, but not completely. This is my 2nd town car- the other a 92 & it leaked also, but I thought it was just a bad seal, but this car, a 95, is in show-room condition--all rubber looks & feels new. Maybe I should clean out my garrage full of $500 worth of stuff I may never use (junk) & park my beautiful Town Car in it-- what do you think? It's raining here again in California
Thanks for helping--geener :L

Have you checked the latch? maybe it is not letting the trunk lid shut down tight enough?

Damn right you should clean out your garage! Your show quality Lincoln shouldn't have to suffer outside. $500 worth of crap in your garage isn't worth the depreciation of years of sun and rain taking its toll.
On the trunk seal I guess you could get crazy with some sort of caulking or sealant. I think it just goes under the weatherstripping and into the trunk because it can pool up.
