Ok let me know if this is common or not.. Just got done moving fiance back and i'm driving down the highway and i can hear wind noise in the back window drivers side.. I pulled over to try to fix and the window all the up and there is a small about half inch from the top of the window to the top of the window frame. but the window moves freely, i can grab with my hands and i can pull it up and move it side to side freely like its not attached to anything.. but the track is still go up and down.. someone from napa said that the plastic that holds the window is known to break quite a bit.. is this and easy fix ?? and what do i need to order to fix it.. don't have to buy a whole door do i to fix it??

I've been down this road. The part is about $4.00 and the installation isn't bad, but a bit tricky.

First, you should be able to put the window up with the motor and it will stay up.

The part is called a spacer (no idea why, that's not its purpose) and the number is XW4Z 5423 4A44AA.

Remove the door panel and look/feel around for the hole through the glass and the part of the regulator where the spacer obviously fits holding the two together. You have to put the spacer in there and smash it together so that one part of the spacer is pinched inside the other part. The smaller part of the spacer being pushed in the bigger part will expand the bigger part and hold it in.

There's probably no way this makes any sense until you're holding the part in your hand...

I am glad that you finished that post with that last sentance. I am reading it and I am thinking to myself what is this guy thinking but I have been there.

Oh good Thats what i needed to know thanks for the help greatly appreciate just didn't want the guys downtown telling me i needed a whole new freakin door to fix it, thanks for the part number and will get it ordered.. How in the hell do these things break if its just a spacer?? huh.. oh well needs to be fixed now that i know what the heck i need to get the job down.. Thanks again for the help..
