Hey guys im going to ask a general question (i know what im doing just trying to get some extra help to save headache's) im going to install an alarm with remote start and window control module ive got a few question's
2002 Ls Automatic
1) The key has a chip in it right?? has anyone bypassed this or do i need a blank cut programmed key stuck up under the dash??
2) Anyone know where i can get the factory wire colors(i hvaent spent the time to look just need little help with window controls i know the car already has one because i can roll them down with the factory remote)
3) Also if anyone has installed an alarm is where did you find the best place to run wire hide the brain...... stuff like that

thanks you guys are great help with everything else just thougt id ask for some advice before i beat myself up trying

1) yep the ignition it PATs so you need a setup that will defeat the PATs to be able to start it. more and more common nowadays

2) you can pick up the wiring manuals off e-bay (where I got mine). I did I quick search - they only have one listed for a 2000.

Hey Silver, I have the viper responder remote starter and the way my friend that owns a car audio store installed it was he put a programed key under the dash. I think if you ask the installer to program your pager to have the windows roll down he can do so but I'm not sure about that tho it maybe possible. :L

they should be close - but I can be sure. there wasn't many changes 00-02 - but you never know about the small unseen stuff.

I found the wiring diagram and it looks like it matchs also with the PATS do you know wich one is on the ls ive found a module but there is abunch of different ones $49.99 for bypass
$125+ for new key and program :bsflag: that too much for a key!!!!
just need to find out wich pats i have

you can add the key yourself I believe - look at your owners guide.
