I remember when our old 93 passed the 100G mark. I was headed down a WIDE open stretch of I-72. I had 4 miles of open road before my exit, headed down hill, so I romped on her. I crossed 100,000 at 120+. I was stuck in traffic for the 94, so I was'nt able to celebrate as much with it. :)

Now that your Mark VIII is just broken it! :Beer What's 100K I have 186K on my 93 and I'd take it anywhere! Can't wait for 200K. These cars are made to be driven. The more miles on the car just tell the story of how much fun the car has had on the road!!! :Beer :Beer :Beer

100k isn't all that much for a 94. As well as you take care of her, she should last another 100k. BTW, it's time to update your sig pic. The new wheels look a lot meaner than those snow-flakes.

yea...but...they were chrome 20-spokes(not flakes)...but you're right...have to head out and make another...

M.O.D....you guessed it... 100 miles a day commute...80% freeway.

as far as racing that evo...if i stomped on it everytime I saw an import, I wouldnt get 28 mpg, that's for sure.

You wont catch me playing cat and mouse on the freeway around here...no car is worth the ticket/risk/cost...no car. I might stomp it now and then, but an all out 100+ mph race in marin County lands you in jail, car impounded, and fines up the ying-yang. the CHP has a "zero tolerance" thing going here.

The evo isnt just any "Import" though pushing 276HP on a AWD Platform be a good race :) Didn't know about the Zero Tolerence thing though sucks :( I speed and race all the time around here most I got was a speeding ticket hehe but were states apart.

evo has a lot of useless junk, on it. like a 16OZ water resavour to spray on the intercoler for like 10 sec... It does not do jack sh!t

I can say it does do something :N I have driven a few Evolutions before and I can assure you there isn't much "useless junk" on it. It's a nice car if you give it a chance and it isn't Rice because it actually has the power to back it up (not all show and no go) and its not FWD like most its AWD. Go test drive one you will see what I mean.

Yawn. Craig, post a pic when the odometer shows all 999999 across the board and THEN I'll be impressed.

actually, there is no useless junk on the evo, as it is derived from their rally platform and as such, any useless junk would just make the car heavier. you can even order a very stipped RS version that is much lighter.

And the intercooler spray IS useful.

screw the Evo...fun or not...it doesnt belong on MY thread!!!

ok, j/k

I test drove a WRX STi, a few months before I got my mark...dollar for dollar, the WRX would get my cash hands down, over the Evo.

But then again...neither one are my style...all that money for a AWD ralley car-turned production car...wait til the fad wears off, and you try to get parts in 10 years.

But seriously, there sint ANYTHING useless on either one of those cars, except the Box-style wing. :)

Now, enough about the evo... how about that odometer huh?

Trust the Force Luke!

I remember my 93 mark hitting all 1's. was kinda exciting.

I know this is off topic kinda but I was looking at your speed and rpm, I miss my car with 4.10's. My rpm was dead on 3k a lil bit past 80mph

Dont make me take a picture of my fleet at work Mark. My black gen 1 looks pretty tight sitting next to our Limo/sedan fleet at work!

Mark0101...amazing line up. Nice photo...your house looks like a Lincoln dealership showroom!

Buddylee....yes...yes i do take a picture of my speedo when I'm going 75 mph...I'll be doing it again when my exhaust gets done...maybe not of the speedo, but definately not of my crotch!!!

it actually comes from the last 500 miles of your driving, it's not based on your average fuel economy.

That would be hard to explain. (Wife peaks over my shoulder while I'm on LvC and sees me studying a picture that I can't quite make out what it is then she asks "what the **** are you doing looking at a guys crotch!?")
