Squeaky Arm Rest

2000 LS, and the Armrest console is starting to get on my nerves with the squeaking. I know how to take it off, but any idea what I should do when I take it off?

Is the whole console squeaking or just the arm rest? I put some foam tape on the edge where both of the plastic edges meet. This reduced the annoying plastic to plastic noise. If it's the armrest try a little lubricant (not KY  ) on the hinges of the armrest. This may cure the squeak.

Thanks ken, it seems to be the entire plastic piece, running up to the shifter. It's not just the leather arm rest. It seems to be loose, i tightened the back two bolts that go into the floor, but is there any up front?

The center console piece just snaps into place. I had a problem with the plastic edges rubbing together. I just took some foam tape and sparingly put small pieces along the edges that are not seen. This helped my problem. Your mileage may vary.
