I was going to start taking the car apart last weekend, but we were dealing with this:

Anyway, I got the parts off of a 93 in northern Michigan. The fender is a slightly different color than my car but I am going to have it repainted and have the few small dents left in the door removed in a few weeks. The car was hit by a deer by Rich (mespock) and I bought the car from him like that. This is what the car looked like in the beginning:

I managed to get the bumper cover off as well as the fender. I found the remains of a dead bird in the cover, I have no idea how it got in there:

Here is the grill after I removed it from the bumper cover:

Here is the fender after I hung it and got the gap right:

I figured that while I had the bumper cover off I might as well remove the air silencer, if for no other reason to make the removal of the compressor when it finally burns out that much more easy. I also drilled holes in the lower air box. The increased airflow is a nice side effect. Here is the ugly monstrocity after a tough fight:

Here is the bumper back on about 3/4 of the way through:

Almost there:

and here it is in the end. When I finished it was getting dark and raining/snowing on me. Whole job took about 5 hours start to finish with me taking several breaks in between including lunch. The car is really coming along, I only have a handful of things to do to it to make it a great relaible daily driver for a long time to come.

Looks like they're a little bit of a gap between the hood and the grill, other wise at all looks awesome

Yeah, that gap is because the chrome strip apparently was flattened out a bit in the accident. It needs a new one.

It's going well, my total investment so far in the car is only around $500 total, I've done a lot of work to it with my own labor.

Yeah, the car still had deer hair on it when I bought it. These cars are fairly easy to repair these days with a ton of used parts around. Every thing comes apart much easier than I thought it would when I bought my first Mark VIII last November. Our Sunfire is a much bigger PITA to work on than this car.
