Battery location Q

Have any of you guys had any problems passing tech at the dragstrip?
What have you been told about your battery? I'm just wondering because
NHRA rules say that if you have a battery relocated to the trunk you need
a cutoff switch. Since the factory location for our batteries is in the trunk
they're not relocated. I haven't taken my LS to the strip yet, but I want to.
I just don't want to get turned away at tech.

you're right - since it's in the stock location we shouldn't have to....

but with that said - I got tried of fighting every time....

I have never been given a hard time about the battery on my LS at Firebird Raceway here in town. My Chrysler has failed for some pretty silly reasons (over 12 inches of rubber fuel line, for example) but they've never given me a hard time about the LS.
