I HAVE AN 84 EL DORADO CONTERTIBLE THAT NEEDS A COUPLE OF PARTS. I CAN FIND THE PARTS THAT EXCHANGE WITH THE HARD TOP BUT NOT FOR THE FACTORY CONVERTION.

ANY IDEAS? I NEED THE LATCHES FOR THE TOP AND THE DRIVE GEAR TAPE FOR THE REAR QUARTER WINDOW.

first of all, ditch the caps. and yes the parts are out there, but you may have to hit up the dealer for stuff like that. or check out a salvage yard like www.car-parts.com. I have had some pretty good luck with some of the iitems that were a little harder to find. But for special items like that tape, you might need to pay a visit to your local dealer.
