OS1,
First time I looked I wasn't sure what I was seeing but on closer examination I see the Lincoln emblem mid bulge on a light colored deck quite clearly in the middle of the back passengers compartment. Like your pix. Lincolnlov

It does look kind of strange doesn't it? But yes, there was a Mark VII trunk lid (decklid) in the back seat of my Mark VII.

For the past year, I have owned between one and three parts cars at a time. The one that I keep in a garage is being dismantled by me by hand. Yeah, I know that some of you lugnuts do this stuff in your sleep with half a load on, but I'm slower. Anyway, I've been telling people for MONTHS that if you need a part ... come and get it for free. All I want is the transmission and some trim.

Joe T from Connecticut took me up on that deal and drove down (400 miles) for breakfast and a free decklid. The least I could do was save him the additional mile of driving out to the garage to get it so ... I picked it up in the dead of night before the breakfast and said, "Damn. That fits so nice it would make for a great picture ...", and it did :)

Dang, I'm in New Jersey and just bought a MARK VII that has a few issues. I'll have to take you up on that offer. :)

Thanks Brother.
(Nonchalantly waving one hand with two fingers raised)
"You don't want to sell me death sticks.
You want to go home and rethink your life.
You want to buy another Mark VII."
