My 1991 Deville has a Symphony Sound System .
The casette will eject after being inserted about 10 to 15 seconds.
It goes from forward to reverse 2 times in the 15 seconds and then ejects the tape.
Is the mechanism broke? Do I need to replace the cassette player?
If so, where is the best place to get one (Factory) like I now have ?

Hey Slinky I've got a '93 that's been doing the same thing, must be the nature of the beast. Replacement of the same thing is difficult to impossible since the model's been discontinued, I've tried. Getting it fixed costs about as much as replacing with something newer, tho I haven't yet, content to blast the radio.

Something that worked for me was to buy one of those cassette cleaner tapes, put
the cleaning solvent on it, push it into player and hold it, even if it feels like it's going blow up, just hold it in there.
