Any One...lincolnboy April 27th, 2005, 03:06 PM doing any projects on any marks...i havent heard of any one monster modding their mark( s.c., forged motor etc) seems like the mark seen is dying :F Jamler3 April 27th, 2005, 03:43 PM Mark Seen is dying...? Your kiddin right??? BlackMark8Li April 27th, 2005, 03:47 PM its not dying but most parts beyond the normal bolt on's are very expensive. I myself have plans to build a crazy motor and throw on a s/c, if you plan to contribute to this fund I'll give you my pay-pal address. I doubt that so you'll have to wait a few years. ;) now if I had the $$ my mark would be insane. Markviiiedrea April 27th, 2005, 03:54 PM yha its $$$$, every one is waiting for there tax return BlackMark8Li April 27th, 2005, 03:59 PM yha its $$$$, every one is waiting for there tax return my tax return has been long gone. got it like 2 months ago and paid bills. I'm waiting on the lottery. lincolnboy April 27th, 2005, 04:05 PM i just saw a post by joe(ponyfreak) over on the other board..bout his brother building up a mark going to make 500 to the wheel.... wheres chris w/ his turbo mark evillally April 27th, 2005, 11:23 PM My project; a forged motor. I have a 1996 Teskid aluminum 4.6 block ready for machining. I bought a 2003 Cobra forged crank. Now, I'm paying-off some bills and various debt and giving the project a rest until I can afford Manley internals. I'm going for a high compression beast with some custom cams. I was originally going with a 5.4 DOHC setup. I bought a 5.4 iron block from a Ford van on a steal ($250) and some Navigator heads traded for some old electrocis I had laying around. I found a few performance vendors that specialize in 5.4 swaps and had all the (expensive) parts to make it work. However, I weighed the cost with the outcome, and a blown 4.6 would financially make more sense. I ended up selling the 5.4 stuff for a profit, at least... Same problem with a 6.8, it's just too much time, work, and money to do major projects (there's a 93 Mark VIII owner with a V10 setup is somewhere on the web, and can confirm cost problems) This is my daily driver. I go to both work and school full-time. I can't afford any downtime... Maybe I'll try again in the postapocalyptic future when I can find the parts laying around for free... :D dertyclown April 28th, 2005, 11:32 AM yep $$$$$$$$ is the problem money=HP but its not to bad I might be able to work up a head work and miled to crazy cam group buy thing if like 10 or 15 of us are into that. 94m5 April 28th, 2005, 01:30 PM The mark seen is dying? i know for a fact it's going strong here in central Illinois. :) I'm finally done building the shortblock assy for my 5.2 stroker, Now I have to finish the heads, and get the blower manifold ported to match. :) Dying my ass. ;) Markviiiedrea April 28th, 2005, 01:39 PM I meet a new person every week it seems like, there just getting more affordable so the people they can really appreciate them (the blue collar working class like us) can get them. | |||||
