Hi everyone, i have a 1979 lincoln mark v, i bought it a few weeks ago and have just been looking for ideas on what to do for the car, but ive just noticed that every single other mark V that I have seen, has that vynal top with the quarter windows in the back, mine doesnt, and I've yet to see another one without the vynal, is this rare or just a seldom used factory option? Heres a picture of what im talking about. it also has the lincoln symbol and a collecters series badge in place of it.

the vynal top is painted on after and can be removed later, if the car has been repainted then that is around the time it was removed, if not then it was done when the the car was newer. as for the badge I have no idae my make III has more than most and I have all the papers on it, but that has not helped any. there are a frw really good websites that list every opt.

i see, thanks for that explanation, but what about the 1/4 windows, mine doesnt have those, and infact, on the other side there are lights in the place of them, so how does that work?
