Different stall converters or gear ratios?

I have a 90 Mark VII se with 3.27 traction lock. The tranny went and I replaced it with the the tranny from my 88 LSC. I can't wind the car over 1200 RPMs and its impossible to break em loose, where as with the other tranny I could smoke em all day. Does anybody know if there was a change in the torque converter stall speed or the transmission gear ratio between those two years?

Thanks,

Well, in the next day. I will be able to tell you about torque conveters. Since Overcast will be done. (Having a tranny rebuild, tc and sk.) But on Sifrino, I got 3.73. When I put the stock tires from an 84 on. To pull it into the garage. It did a burn out in idle. I do not know what that was all about. . .

I would go for the tourq converter first, just dont go for 3.73's, my friend has a couple of raced out marks, and he said they were a waist of money, if you want gears go 4.10, hes been happy with those.
