i went to have the squeek looked at today. i got new pads and rotors on the front and pads on the rear. the guy said the the squeek was caused by the dust cap?(not sure about the name) on the ball joint. he told me it doesnt have a greaser on it. he told me to puncure the dust car thing, and put some wd40 in it, and it would stop the noise. is this true. also i need new lug nuts where can i get some that arent 5 dollars a pop. and i want the chrome ones.

If you push down on down on your fender with considerable force and it squeaks like crazy then it probably is your ball joint(s) Ford doesn't have greasable ball joints, not sure about the LS though. I had this problem on my wife's 99 Explorer. I used a big hypo needle from a local feed store and loaded it with grease and punctured the rubber cap and yes it was tough getting it through the needle. This worked up until we sold it, so I don't no how long it lasted....Of course the real fix is to replace it....Good Luck.....

It doesn't have a grease zerk (fitting)--that's the nipple onto which a grease gun fits for inserting grease into the joint.
:soapbox: If he told you to puncture the dust cap and spray in WD-40, run. WD-40 is great for some things, but it's not a replacement for grease; it'll gum up and attract dirt like no one's business. Then you'll really need ball joints...
