I have a 97 base, witch engine is it the same as, 96-98 cobra or 99-02 I know the difference with the heads but what else.I am getting ready to do a barrage of bolt ons( mass air ,throttle body, pulley(s), intake(filter) exhaust.
What has worked best for everybody. I am also gonna do gears 3.73 with an detroit locker, how do I correct the speedo for this.

Yes, It uses the same heads as the 96-98 cobra. As far as the speedo correction goes, On the 97's it needs to be corrected via reburning of the computer. I don't know the specifics on it, as i have only 1st gens. Some one will be able to fill you in.
