Have you talked to the car lot yet? And if so did you request a carfax on it? I clicked on the carfax link on that link you posted and it states 23 records found on a 8 yr old car, that seems to be a little high count. May want to see the history of that before you go any further with this car. Just a helpful comment, and my 2 cents too. ;)

i have an 03 lincoln ls. i have changed nothing but the brakes and the oil. absolutely no problems with it.
