I was on my way home from work, doing about 45 mph when all of a sudden the LS started coasting. I hit the gas and got nothing from the tach or speedometer, idle was around 700 rpm.


The dash said check parking brake (it wasnt on) and it was flashing something else which of course i cant remember now.

I pulled off, turned the car off, started it again and everything was fine, but now the CEL is on.

Any ideas?

check the CEL.

I plan to take it in, the only problem is it's a PITA for me to go up to the Lincoln dealer and get a ride back, and I had plans to go out to the track tomorrow night and run the 1/4.

Wanted to see if anybody had an idea before I changed plans and went to the hassle of going up to FLM.

Autozone will do it for free.

isnt this a common problem for 03 and up???

Well, I just got back from Autozone. Their diag tool couldn't read the code. Kept saying link error, the guy tried for a while and kept getting the same thing.

Looks like your gonna have to take it to the dealer, maybe a bad ECU.
