I have the 03 with the audiophile system and was wondering if anyone had taken the 6x9 "subs" out of the rear deck. It is not like the older model with the tray system, these are top mounted on the rear deck. I really haven't messed around with it but was wondering if anyone could tell me how they got the speakers out before i start monkeying with it.

Speaking of speakers (haha), anyone know where I can get the breakdown of what size speakers are in my 01 LS? I was starting to tinker around with installing a new sound system and wanted to price some stuff out... Thanks gang.

depends on which factory system you have:
The top of the line audiophile option - 180w internal amp drove the four door 5"x7" 2-way speakers.

The audiophile system uses a seperate amp for the console speakers (to create DSP) those speakers are 3.5"

The audiophile system uses a 85w rear amp to drive 2 6"x9" rear deck speakers.
