my Lincoln LS has been making a weird sound. when i roll the window up, it makes a thump. it only does this when the window is all the way down. any ideas what it could be?

I couldn't tell the year of your LS from your profile, so this my not apply. I have a 2000 Lincoln LS. Why would the window make the noise only when it was all the way down? Doesn't it take the same power to roll up the window whether it's all the way down or say halfway down? | |||||
