I'm still trying to figure out where to put it without it looking like crap...I really would hate to ruin the beutiful interior that the LS has with a bunch of wires and a badly placed control unit.

get an aftermarket deck and get a xm tuner under the seat and control it with the deck.. the install kits for the aftermarkets, are extremely nice, most of them being flush mount - plus youll have better sound quality.

Actually good point, i thing Terk JUST came out with the aftermarket kit that allows me to controll it with the deck. Sound quality is not an issue now for it is not going through the FM modulator.
But good call on the deck as a controler.. I forgot I can do that!

I have an aftermarket radio with the direct tuner box and the other thing you need and have no complaints. I mounted the tuner box in the glove box, and you can't tell it's there unless you look for it. I have a similar sony unit you had in your tahoe, exept the newer model of it.

I already had a Roady so I used it. I take it from car to car also, so I didn't want to buy a unit for just one car. No permanent marks or anything. Tiny piece of velcro to keep it in place. If I had an aftermarket unit, I could use the line in and get rid of the cassette. That is what I did in my last car, but I was stupid and sold it with my Alpine HU. :(

i have a roady2 in my 03 LS that I hardwired into the factory headunit using the PIE FRDN AUX, and a power wire. The wires come out of the dash in the center to the left of the vents and i use the vent clip. i am not one for having add ons or using velcro but i think that it looks pretty classy. doesnt stand out at all. i have some pictures in my photo garage. Also, the direct connection of the audio versus the wireless FM or even the wired FM modulator is unreal. Definately CD quality.

yeah i can still use the cd changer, if for some reason my xm isnt in there, if you didnt know any better you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. if i had to do it over i would prolly just ditch the factory and buy an aftermarket head unit with built in capability. I really havent used my cd player since i have had the xm, so many options.
