A little wax and it will be good as new.

Sucks about the car, but that can be replaced. Your life can't... officially, anyways.

I thought you had a Gen1, at least that is in your profile picture there.

Was a child in that car seat?

The omen
February 9th, 2011, 08:02 PM
Yeah I had a gen 1 and sold it back in sept for this gen 2 from a fellow member. I just got this car perfect dammit:( No, luckily my daughter was not in the car.

I hope the driver got a ticket. 10 years ago, I was delivering pizzas. I pulled out of a subdivsion right as a cop crested a small hill going 120mph with no lights on. When I woke up in the hospital I had a ticket shoved in my pants. I even had witnesses that said he was at fault.

chris2523
February 9th, 2011, 08:20 PM
don't you have to sign for the ticket? i had to sign for my ticket...

philly0420
February 9th, 2011, 09:07 PM
Yeah they try to make me sign, but I refuse. I only roll my window down far enough to hand my documents to them and I say nothing. SometimesI won't even take the ticket. They have to mail it to me. Also, when I was doing community service at the ER, they rushed a man that dumped his bike and slid head first into a retaining wall. He smelled like alcohol. The cops set his DUI tickets with the clothes they cut off him. The guy was literally dying and all they care about is writing him up.

On the bright side the car protected you pretty well. Think of what might have happened if you'd been in a little civic or prius

I am just sad that the mark is trashed but I am glad that it wasn't my jeep srt8 I was driving. The ambulance hit me so hard that I was spun into a telephone pole and a tree on the drivers side. The whole left side of my body and head hurt like hell now. I am also glad I was in a strong car. Any other little crappy car and I would probably be worse.

Well, I went to the police station (literally about 1/8 mile from the accident scene) tonight and spoke to the responding officer (whom I know) and he said that the ambulance driver admitted to running the red light at the intersection. He also was not lit up. I also asked him a few things about that night because I was unconcious and had to be flown down to philadelphia by helicopter:eek: . Nobody was being transported in the ambulance thank god! I may get another mark in the future but I am going to hold off for now until this settles.

I actually have some other things pending (trying to buy a home) and seeing if I am staying out of work for a while until I know I am ok from the accident. There are plenty out there to still pick from but all I can say is she protected me well:) Hell, if I sue the bastards for enough, I may just make another member *cough* laser *cough* an offer for his mark;) LOL! I WILL get another one:D

I'm not a proponent of lawsuits, especially frivolous ones. But in this case, I'd sue the living crap out of that ambulance company... well, their commercial insurance carrier, since ultimately that's who's going to end up paying out.

Frogs right!

Nearly this same type of accident happened with my ex-wife, except it was a cargo van and she sued and got 200K out of it. Yours is or looks way worse than the accident she was in but you do have a case and I don't see why you would not win. Took her 9 months to get the money but it happened.

There's your house, paid in full. Glad to see you made it out alright and no missing limbs or broken bones and real glad to know that a child was not in there. Regain that memory and go to a lawyer ASAP.

IMO, this would be an easy open and shut case - I predict a guaranteed, substantial win.

I have limited tort insurance but I think being hit by a commercial vehicle changes things.

I have my attorney on speed dial:D He is a friend of the family also. He already knows and has the ball rolling already. I am going to make sure everything is ok with me first and then WATCH OUT ambulance company!!! Thank you all for your concerns.
