It has been sooo cold out!!! my doors are frozen shut! also my door locks are frozen! when I use the key fob, I can hear them trying to move but no luck, and if I try using the key, the lock will not turn (either door)I dont want to force it and break the key!!!, any ideas. for a fast thaw?and what can I do to prevent this? I have tried a blow dryer...but it looks like I may have to get towed and have the car sit overnite indoors:(

take your key and heat it up with a bic lighter. insert key in lock. let sit for 30 secs. try lock. if no go, rinse and repeat. try blow dryer all along the door cracks. cheaper to break a window than to get towed? lock de-icer helps too.:) P.S. Lemme know when it gets cold there.

O is a heat-wave for you! LMAOF. I got a torpedo heater from a buddy and heated up the door, after about 2 mins it opened. For giggles I pulled off the door panels, both sides are missing the protective plastic.I assume this is my trouble, moisture getting inside freezing the mechinism
