Navigator 2000 engine oil indication when real cold

My navigator 2000 gives engine oil indication for the first a couple of minutes in cold weather and oil pressure shows Low and then suddenly indication goes away and oil pressure shows normal. This happens only in the morning when start first time. Once engine is warm, there is no problem for the whole - day. My question - is it just the oil presssure sensor or could it be the oil pump. I think it should be just the sensor. If it is sensor, do I need to worry about it or just ignore. Please share your views.

Thanks
John

Hi John,
I have this same problem with my 2000 Navigator that we recently purchased. Did you figure out what was going on with yours and fix the issue? This would really help me out...
Thanks,

Landon

I could not figure out the reason why oil indication comes on when navigator is cold. I still get indication for the first 2 or 3 minutes. John

This could result from wrong oil weight, low oil capacity, or worn bearings, my first test, perform oil change with proper oil weights! GL

I dont see this low oil indication in summer. Last time it was observed in March. I will see how it goes this winter.

Thanks
John
