I'm thinking of buying a 1997 El Dorado ETC with about 50.787 miles, the car is mint, clean carfax, no accidents all looking pretty good; the only thing that I'm not to sure is, when I opened the hood every thing look nice, but the valve cover's paint had some bubbles, and some of them, the paint was coming off, the sales person said that, that was very common in the Northstar engines. What else should I be looking for in a way to know if the car is a good buy (I'm not very mechanical/inclined)thanks for any help.
