2006 Cadillac CTS Water Problem

Hi guys,
My sweethearts son has a 2006 CTS. He is having a water issue on the passengerside. Not to where anything is getting flooded, I believe he notices it on the floor mat. He says that water is dripping in from somewhere underneath the dashboard passenger side and can not see up to find out what is going on. He claims that there is no antifreeze smell and it basically happens when he uses the air conditioning or defrost.
As anyone run into this situation or know what the problem is?

Thanks, Kielbasa

Usually caused by a blocked A/C drain hose. check under the hood on the passenger side there is a small hose that drains the condensation from the A/C..sometimes it slips back passed the firewall and dribbles water inside the car.

Hi, From what I understand, he did take it in to his mechanic and he did do something with the AC hose. I am not sure what. I am not sure if he has used the AC as of yet. I will post again when I hear of something.

Thanks, Kielbasa

He is hearing a swishing noise of water somewhere inside the passenger side dash area with a tiny bit of water on the mat. I was also told today that he is hearing something in the passenger front door now. I am thinking that there is something is getting in the air vent ducts maybe?

Does he have a sun roof? If so IIRC there are drain tubes that run down the pillars. Worth checking out.

is he hearing the swishing sound when he accelerates or is it there when he turns or breaks also? if he is hearing it when he is accelerating he may be low on coolant. that might also explain the moisture issue on that floor. however, u would have other symptoms also though like foggy windows and u would smell coolant too.
