01 Conti cylinder location.

Long story short, 3 of my cylinders are misfiring. I changed all 8 spark plugs and it runs better, but still not great. I was told that changing the ignition packs should be replaced too. So my question is: when looking at the engine from the front of the car, is it 1-2-3-4 starting from the top left and 5-6-7-8 starting from the bottom left? I'm not talking about firing orders, just the location of the cylinders so I know which packs to replace.
1-2-3-4
5-6-7-8

Your location of cylinders is correct. Coil paks could be bad, Check for oil down in spark plug hole. 4.6 are great for leaking valve cover gaskets which fill up spark plug holes with oil.

If the locations are correct, then #8 is the only one with oil in it. Someone said it might not be a serious thing yet, but could be later on. And thank you for the reply, now I know where to get started :)

Can anyone confirm this?

The only thing serious about it is a misfire in that cylinder. The bad thing about ignoring a misfire is overheating the cat converters with unburned fuel. You could regularly clean out #8 hole since it is easy to get to, but just change both valve cover gaskets. Its common problem on the 4.6.
