I have a 99 lincoln continental with 167,000 miles on it, bought it a couple of months ago and is not sure if the tranney was ever serviced. The transmission is leaking fluid that drips on the converter but when i check the fluid it reads full. I am assuming it only leaks when the car is at normal run temp. The question is where could it be leaking from ? I am pretty sure this is the reason y my conti is shifting hard especially after being warmed up.

Whether the transmission leaks or doesnt leak, as long as it is full it should not shift hard. If it is low on fluid that could cause hard shifts. Your transmission might not be the source of leak. Have you checked the power steering fluid? These continentals have about 10 feet of power steering hose from the front to rear and right by the exhaust.
