:dj: :L Does anybody know where I can buy a climate control panel for my 93 markviii? Most of the buttons on mine have been broken... I heard that the gen. 2 buttons aren't hollow, can I replace my gen.1 with the gen 2? My headlights are also really bad, if anybody know where I can get those and not have to empty my bank account, let me know! Thanks!

I have a 97 that WONT work (electrically) 93 or 94 cars, so I need to sell it if any one needs it.

Make sure the new one you get is compatible

That is one part that I would not buy brand new from Max. These parts are plentiful on Ebay, and at your local parts store. I got mine from a Taurus SHO. It works perfectly.

I know of someone that had used either a TC, or a Conti unit in the past.....I think it was on another site. But I do not know any of the particulars. :Beer

I got mine for $60 on car-part.com, a hard button unit from a 96. They are everywhere so do not pay a premium.

I just hate that I can't see the parts on car-parts.com... you don't really know what you're getting, ya know? I'll try ebay, I don't know why I didn't think of that :) Thanks guys!

Expect to pay about $100 on eBay.

I've been watching for a while. I need one for my 93...

My quick questions is what other cars (Conti, Taurus etc.)fit the Mark VIII's. Do all the climate controls from 93 up work? I heard that some don't.

Also Car-Parts.com many are less than $100 including shipping.

97-98 will not work. They look the same as the 96's but the wiring is different internally. The 96 is the most desireable because it has the updated button look.

is there any way to make a 97 work for a 94?

The cars you need to search for are Taurus LX and SHO, as well as Lincoln Continental. Not Town Car. They don't work. In 93 all of the buttons were weak and broke. The next year Ford went to harder buttons. This is what I have. I would suggest you go to all of the Salvage yards in your area. I guarantee you that they all have them. Most of the time when cars come in they take all of that stuff out and stock them inside. You can get as low as $50 if you haggle with them.
