MrWilson April 4th, 2005, 07:23 PM So, toyota decided that they could make mad $ by creating a car that people buy for ricing out, and for no other reason. Drop in a 120hp 4 cyl, and eastern european meets asian design styling, and there you have it. They sell these cars so cheep because they plan on making most of their money from this line through factory offered moddifications.
Personally i am NOT a fan of these cars. I like the idea, and id like to see someone like ford, chevy, or chrysler to do that, but in a real car. Do you think that this Copy and Paste idea for toyota will carry over to any domestic makes, and perhaps into serious cars? (by serious i mean V8's) Instead of making a line designed to mod out the look of the vehicle, perhaps they will have one with factory offered aftermarket parts that improve preformance. I dunno, could just be me.
bucketthead April 4th, 2005, 07:33 PM i dont think this idea could work with real mods if u look thru what scoin offers they r cheap mods that dont really efect proformance they r just basically for looks i think that if u try to incorperate this to a "real" type of car it will b to costly and u wont have enought ppl interested but it would b a great idea
JoeyLincolnMK8 April 4th, 2005, 07:47 PM i ran one of those, i destroyed him.... he looked at me like i had 40 eyes, i gave him the thumbs up, then i gave him thumbs down, he got soooooooo mad...lol and he left. These are all toyota's extra parts bolted together. i went to a toyota dealer about 7 months ago, trying to help a friend of mine look for the best price on the v8 4-runner. but to make a long story short, i told one of the dealers there, whats up with these scions, are they made well or cheaply? he pretty much said "yeah there made alil cheaply". so i dont know about dropping in a twin turbo on it, it might blow up.

evillally April 5th, 2005, 12:55 PM :invasion: Scions... Hideous abominations. We had a Scion dealer come out to UMASS Lowell with a Scion SUV and some posters, and a DJ to promote the release. Everyone laughed at him and called him a :q:q:q. This one black girl was hilarious; she kept pointing to the Scion and screaming "what the fcuk is that? Look like a Hummer with downs syndrome! " LOL!
How much torque do they put out? 20 milligrams per foot?
Conti94 April 5th, 2005, 05:31 PM Scion, One word :ricesmile It is just a fad and will burn out soon, hopefully
