This is the first time I've seen the local Lincoln dealer put a Mark out on the lot. A 94 Mark VIII with 74k miles on it. I have to admit, it is clean. Obviously owned by an elderly couple. Check out the price. I want what their smoking asking for a price like that. Broken grille, and I suspect they don't know the front airbags are leaking either.

The rear ashtray is gone too. I bought mine with 50k almost 6 years ago for about half that. They will let it rot on the lot forever with that price.

You two get in my glaucoma medicine again? The buttons are black. The ash tray is there, you can see it cause the door is open.

only thing i noticed missing inside is the light cover on the driver door panel, free at any salvage yard, and the carpet glue is letting loose on the console, ?? ashtray wood-grain is cracked??, explain that the rear window trim is capsulated in the glass, so the whole window would have to be replaced to fix that--the glass is about $1000, plus the leaky air ride and busted grill, and it has the cheaper sound system in it
i would be willing to bet you could get it for 5k cash

then you do all the fixes that we all know how to do for way cheaper and you got yourself an ugly colored nice ride

most dealerships mark over book and hope for commision, educate yourself on the KBB and then do buisiness

There is no way in hell that the dealer is in it over $1700 and if they are in it that much they are dumb. They are shootin for the moon at that price.

You know, you can pull the same dealer BS on them.

Be like, "you know, this thing has a messed up air ride. It leaks in the front. THIS CAN ONLY BE REPAIRED AT A FORD DEALER FOR $2500

I'm not sure why, but I've always like that Green color (evergreen frost?) on Mark VIII's. It's like I'm strangely attracted to it? If I ever found a nice one for sale in that color while I was looking I would have bought one!

Of course the actual colors of my Mark VIII's are/were boring, my 93 was black and my 98 is White Pearlescent.

i had one, i was going to fix it and keep it for myself but there was a problem with the title so we just parted it instead it had potential it was clean. it is a badass color in person.

I like the exterior color. I agree it needs black interior or possibly gray. I've got all that damn peanut butter in my white 94 and I'm ready for a change.

That dealership is crazy as all get up. I offered $2000.00 on the spot for the car. I even broke out my American Express Gold card, and they laughed at me. "Ha Ha Ha! I've been selling Lincolns for 9 years, and there's no way we would take $2000 for that car" Do you know how many miles are on that car?"
That's what he said to me but in a condescending and sarcastic tone. I found out that the customer who traded it got $3000 for the trade. They took a hit on the trade, but I know that packed it on the customer on the other end. That's what they do.

Having been in the business for 40 years, they are looking at a write-down in the very near future. The moron used car manager got packed by a smart salesman who sold him AND the customer. We all know that the car has an ACV of $1500 tops. Add safety and detail and you have 1850-2000 in the car. A reasonable profit of $800 after costs and you have a selling price of $3k. By going for a home run gross they are cutting off their noses to spite their faces. This unit will haunt them in the future. Thank God I am retired.

As you all may know the Lincoln dealer tried to sell this Mark for the ridiculous price of $7995.00. I offended the salesman with my offer of $2000.:shifty: I thought it was a fair price. Anyway, the ran it back through the auction, and then an independent Used Car dealer picked it up, and it resurfaced on Craig's List again, this time for $4995.00

I got an email form the Used Car dealer, said he would take $2500 TTL included. Anyone interested?

Well after six months and three different used car lots, this last dealer realized they are not going to get $5000 or more for this car like they hoped to. Now it is on Ebay. Finally it is price correctly.

Thats funny, this car has been all over town and still no buyer. Well the price is more reasonable, if they were to drop it another $500.00 I bet it would sell for sure.
My sister-inlaw was looking at a 2000 expedition 86000mi for 10k, my father-inlaw offered 7k and they would not budge and we knew that they paid just over 3k for it in trade-in. Its crap dealers like this that keep the lots full, thier job is to sell cars not to collect them.
