I don't like the hood scoop but I the car is still a 9/10 just cause it's bad looking, and very unique. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/4/web/784000-784999/784196_7_full.jpg The cowl hood which I am sure you are familiar with... http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/1/web/349000-349999/349881_10_full.jpg Thats it! Markviiiedrea April 3rd, 2005, 11:28 PM im just makeing my own Dern Humpus April 4th, 2005, 01:16 AM i thought it would be sweet to get the shaker assembly off of a mach 1 and strap that on the mark. MrWilson April 4th, 2005, 11:48 AM but they are fake "shakers" arent they. StraDog April 4th, 2005, 11:57 AM but they are fake "shakers" arent they. Yes, it would be very difficult to make a functional shaker hood assembly on a Mark and would take a lot of customization and time. Most likely not worth it, whether it be the amount of time/ money or both. Plus, from a couple photoshops I've seen of it on the Mark, it looks like crap. CTX-SLPR April 4th, 2005, 12:34 PM They actually are somewhat real shakers, meaning the air actually comes throught them.... but its simply routed to the normal airbox position and then into the motor and from all I've seen its not really worth anything performance wise but it does look cool. I agree though that it'd look rather stupid on the hood of a MkVIII, the lines are not there at all for something like that, a suble 1.5-2" cowl on the Gen 1 I think would look best, Gen 2s..... can't decide what would look good, maybe some of those pontiac snouts.... maybe not. "Be the monkey, do the dance, get the banana" :monkey: well that means they are just functional, not "real" shakers. To be a real shaker you must shake, hence shaker. But yeah, them R/A from the old trans ams (70-75's) would look good on a second gen. 67Continental April 4th, 2005, 07:10 PM well that means they are just functional, not "real" shakers. MrWilson April 4th, 2005, 07:25 PM they do shake, they sit on top of the engine, and they move. are they mounted to the engine, completly free of the hood, creating a hole when the hood is opened? CTX-SLPR April 4th, 2005, 09:28 PM yup, exactly | |||||
