Maybe $500 if you part it out... not worth your time or effort.

What is your point??

Nobody wants a 17 year old car with a blown up engine.

I parted a gen 1 about 3 years and got about $1500 out of it. I got lucky and found someone local that needed a lot of the stuff that is too expensive to ship. I would tear it apart for parts or find a motor.

Best bet is fix it and drive it, or fix it and sell it.

Sound like what a lot of people say don't have the time. But you would have time to tear the car apart. Check your local junk yard for prices on used motor. Like mentioned above fix it and sell it.

Yea i would try to replace the motor first, you may do better especially if it's the only problem. Maybe you can put it in yourself to save costs.

just put a motor in it. or be prepared to sell it as is for a few hundred bucks, thats all its worth, no one wants to believe it, but take it from people who know, its worthless.

I forgot about this since that a hole started bashing the hell out of, well, everyone on here that isn't in Philly or New York and New Jersey. How do you run it out of oil. There are a million idoit lights in the these things(Gen 2 especially). The thing tells me low fuel at 50 miles and the every five miles after that. I have never run a car low on oil as I check it everytime I fgas up, but there had to an oil light on. I have never had one come on, but every car I have owned that was made after 1984 has an low oil light. I did have a GF that told me here oil light came on briefly and when I checked it, that :q:q:q:q was 4 quarts low. She swore the light came on that day, but she was a damn liar I am quite certain. If you read this, I am sorry for wasting your time.

Cliff notes: That was not good, did the oil light come on at some time? How low was it? Bone Dry?

i did, there is no metal on these grills, when you take the chrome off it would look all black. then you can paint it

you see on this grill up in the top centedr portion where it is black, that is where the chrome had peeled off, the whole grill will look like that when you take all the chrome off
