I have been attempting to set up a National LvC meet. The idea came from Eric1 during a NE chat session when he and some other NE members suggested having a Meet in Wisconsin. I hit the idea of Joey thinking that if the NE was going to come to the Midwest then maybe other members from near by Chapters may want to come.

What my plan would be to hold the LvC meet at the Wisconsin Dell area of Wisconsin. This area is about 30 minutes north of Madison Wisconsin and Wisconsin’s largest tourist area. There are Casinos, Resorts, and just tons of activities both out doors and rustic or what ever you name it and it is there in this area to do. The area is very scenic.

I have been in contact with the Ho Chunk Casino and Hotel attempting to get a group rate for LvC. I am also trying to get an area of the Parking Lot to host our Cars and possible activities. One idea I have for this meets is to arrange for a tented area for detailing, with possible venders or attempt to bring some of LvC’s venders Strutmasters, Struts R Us, LMS, etc to also come and display merchandise. I am still working on details.

What I need is interest!!! Who would be interested in attending? The numbers would determine what we could do.

Also When – Late July, August, Labor Day weekend, Early September?

Also what would make this meet interesting for you to attend?

It's important to note that Ho Chunk is part of Wisconsen Dells -so dont let the 'casino' part throw you off -- this is intended to be a mini vacation / lvc meet. There will be things like water skiing, swimming, boating, fishing and alot more to do. This is being planned as something you can bring the family to if you choose.

The Dells area is for the whole family. Everything is within a 10 mile radius.

The Chamber bost over 6,000 rooms for lodging accomodations but some of the resorts look like they have at least 1,000 room alone.

The Ho Chunk hotel and casino is also designed around the family. (But intended to steal your money LOL). If you choose not to stay here there are many places close by. Like I said all activites are within a 10 mile radius of the heart of the Wisconsin Dells.

I'd post Chubby's for Bryan but.... I'll let him explain LOL.

If your trying to plan a national meet wouldnt you want a more central location depending on the members that show an interest? I may be up for it.

I'd be interested............however, I DON'T recall Wi as a location, the locale should be more central so more people could attend, afterall, thats the purpose of a " National meet " isn't it

Agreed - but it was discussed and several of the NE guys thought the dells area would be a good choice.

I have no problem considering other locations. But whatever location we choose needs to be somewhere there is a member who will help set things up.


Suggestions anyone? Again - the idea here is a weekend mini vacation kinda thing that the whole family can come to and have things to do.

I hear you all about a central location. Eric1 and I discussed the idea of the NE coming to Wisconsin, and there was a NE interest in the event. Eric and some other NE members were talking about getting a car hauler and towing their cars that way spitting the cost of everyone driving. But I am up for suggestions...

Why I thought of the Dells is due to all of the attractions and activities in this area. There is a lot for everyone.

Also I am about 1.5 hrs way from the Dells area and I have some connections that could pay off. Also being close I can do a lot of foot work. Otherwise We will have to find someone more central who can do the work. I am willing to set this whole thing up.

Until FreeFaller was put on alert or stand by I was thinking of something more in the St. Louis area but since we lost his foot work I kind of dropped that idea. Still open to something in this area if someone is willing to do the work.

If there is someone more centrally located who can do some foot work and has a place where we can have options on activities, besides the fun of just meeting and BSing, which I can't wait to do with many of the LvC members, power to you. I'll help in anyway I can.

Like Joey said we are up for suggestions... I am hoping more members chime in with suggestions or support...

PAINTBALL, I'm to old and fragile to participate in paintball, now if it were finger painting women, that would be a different story. In order to get any response from the members about this meet, why don't you make it one of those "sticky" threads, so its the first thing you see when you enter !!!!! If your really sincere in trying to get this going what better way to get someones attention !!!!!

That's late night after the Paintball on the way back from Chubby's which is only a mile or 2 from Stalkers Paintball Games.

I agree I need to know so I can start booking a block of rooms and getting things organized.

I know Joey and Cubster have said they are willing to come to this event.

If this is to become something then I need to know if there are any other members interested in this event.

I am about ready to start the foot work and would like to have if all finished by the end of May but I need to know how many members will come!

I am looking for at least 15 members to commit for me to put this event into motion.

So Who's interesed. If there is no interest in this event by Mid May I am going to scratch this and look into doing something else.
