Santo March 31st, 2005, 02:24 PM I feel dumb - whats the module 8? http://www.module8.net/main.htm MrWilson March 31st, 2005, 02:54 PM takes waaaaay to long 67Continental March 31st, 2005, 03:27 PM module 8 looks pretty cool, given my misadventures with sensor lowering, it might be a better solution for me. also, it's not like you are going to be raising and lowering it all the time - you'll pick a height you like and then use that. so the time to raise and lower is not a big deal. Kbob March 31st, 2005, 03:46 PM I read somewhere that a guy raised his car all the way with it so he could drive in the deep snow. ONEBADMK8 March 31st, 2005, 03:52 PM I use Rays. 67Continental March 31st, 2005, 03:57 PM is ray's (wykydmk8) the one that lets you drop it to the ground? I thought that was just for extreme drop, not full ride height control. does anyone know? Santo March 31st, 2005, 03:57 PM I use Rays. really? can you give me a link? Markviiiedrea March 31st, 2005, 04:06 PM really? can you give me a link? just pm him it 35 bucks , i have it on my car i only use when im parked its too low to clear any thing here in daytona, but looks killer when lowered, the first one is when i bought it second one has rays ONEBADMK8 March 31st, 2005, 07:08 PM I Love my Ray Switch. http://www.lincolnmotorsport.com/dropped.jpg 1wykdmk8 March 31st, 2005, 07:21 PM If you want more control you can use the module 8, BUT you have to open and close the door for it to actuate. Not that that is a big deal, but if you are driving into a show and want to drop the car to the ground you have to open/close the door for it to change from the current position the car is at at that specific time. The Module 8 is great for a full range of motion (not like as if you had switches in your car) with the suspension. My kit is ONLY for the ultimate drop, or parking lot stance. It is NOT recommended for driving around......UNLESS you are cruising and you want damn near every eye looking at you while you are driving.....even in a long line of Mark VIII's. If you drive the car using my kit you WILL have to replace damn near every front end component in a VERY short period of time (unless you are meerly cruising....at relatively LOW speeds so you can avoid, or drive SLOW thru potholes and the such). If you are interested in my kit email me wykdmk8@hotmail.com or if you just want more info on the kit itself. I do not have a website about it. Basically my kit is what Kale designed in the beginning and I just made it REALLY simple for anyone.....EVEN the COMPLETE novice to install. If you can use basic hand tools you can install my kit. NO cutting of wires, simple t-taps and that is it.....basic pliers crimp the t-taps onto the wires. :Beer Markviiiedrea March 31st, 2005, 08:31 PM I Love my Ray Switch. http://www.lincolnmotorsport.com/dropped.jpg why dose your back go down first, its takes mine 3 min for the back to go down, i have to hit " the ray switch" a few times. eL eS March 31st, 2005, 09:13 PM I use Rays. man nice car. I dont think I could be trusted with that weapon. No, he actually took pix of it when it was raising, not going down.....LOL.....I thought the same thing too when I saw the pix for the first time, I even had to ask him. :Beer ONEBADMK8 March 31st, 2005, 09:51 PM why dose your back go down first, its takes mine 3 min for the back to go down, i have to hit " the ray switch" a few times. Wait til you see it in about three weeks. Markviiiedrea April 1st, 2005, 01:33 AM Thanks. Wait til you see it in about three weeks. ? Interesting? your going to leave us EVEN MORE in the dust? I figured the pictures where backwards, pardon my ignorance. k9t8m April 1st, 2005, 01:12 PM If anyone has the module 8 installed... can you post pics on how high it will go and on how low it will go? Also if there is any good or bad feedback on it... I'm about to do this to a friends car... I love mine. Its perfect for me. I drive w\ my car lowered from stock height, but when i feel the need to show off, i just turn the knob, and down she goes. Sure its not as fast as a fast bag system but it doesnt cost $1500 either. I too rise my up when driving in snowy conditions. I would reccommend this to anyone. Defintately one of the best mods for the $, at least for me. :L 2002WRXSTi June 5th, 2006, 09:03 PM I have heard of the Module 8 but the link above does not work and I cannot seem to find it anywhere  Anyone have a link that works? 67Continental June 5th, 2006, 10:45 PM http://module8.net/ 2002WRXSTi June 5th, 2006, 11:08 PM http://module8.net/ Thanks, my bad for not trying harder on that link :shifty: Iwantmymarkback June 6th, 2006, 04:12 PM My only fear with these, is that it wont look good totally slammed. I feel like my car, with the 16 inch Chrome 10 spokes, it won't look good, it will just look more like the bags are blown on it. Does anyone have a picture of a gen II with chrome 10 spokes with ray's kit? Even Better, in Ivory Pearl? 1wykdmk8 June 6th, 2006, 04:48 PM My only fear with these, is that it wont look good totally slammed. Once i saw a bunch of switches in a glove compartment, not a bad idea. 1wykdmk8 June 6th, 2006, 11:01 PM For Ray's kit, where do you mount the switches? I don't want it to look out of place if possible. Once i saw a bunch of switches in a glove compartment, not a bad idea. Most ppl put the switch in the center console right where the factory phone jack is. They just simply remove the phone jack and place the switch in its place. The switch that I supply with my lowering kit is smallish enuf that you can put it anywhere you like and it will not be seen. chicken June 6th, 2006, 11:02 PM mine's inside the center councle in the front (sorry cant spell) billcu June 7th, 2006, 08:52 AM I've got Module VIII's on both of my cars. They work great. They work with the stock air ride computer so the adjustment is not right away. It takes about 45 seconds for the computer to make the adjustment. You don't have to open and close the door to make it work, that just makes it adjust without having to wait 45 seconds. I was thinking of adding the switches for more manual control. That would be the best of both worlds.:) | |||||
