need some codes interpretedtopher5150 July 28th, 2010, 05:29 PM got some codes that need interpretation P0401 P2C59 P04E0 NickPims July 28th, 2010, 06:02 PM P0401 - Insufficient EGR flow (usially means vacuul leak in EGR engagement or dirty EGR valve). P2C59 - ?? Are you shure? Codes ends P1xxx... P04E0 - E0 - can't be, according to SM by Ford. topher5150 July 28th, 2010, 09:38 PM wow ok...so I took it to two different places only code was the EGR code, not to worried about that don't have one, but the car still has a hard time with cold starts. I also cleaned the MAF, seafoamed the gas tank and engine and did the fuel filter. NickPims July 29th, 2010, 03:49 AM If you illiminate the EGR system wihout the "chip-tune" this code will be anyway, it will become your best friend and will always lit up your CE lamp. It can become a problem, 'cause you will not be able to determine visually, what codes do you have, and will have to read codes regulaly to ceap you car healthy. And I really don't know (and the Service manual don't) what the other two means... chicken July 29th, 2010, 09:37 AM the other 2 arent "real" codes ive seen this a lot on here some cheap code puller will give a real code then some gibberish all ford obd2 codes are a letter then 4 numbers ex. p0301, cyl 1 miss, p0401 egr insufficient flow etc etc etc if it isnt layed out like that its not real or the puller is junk | |||||
