i recnetly got a diagnostic at my local ls dealer and the results was a dtc PO430 does any one know what that code is for and how i can fix it

P0430 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2

(btw: it's a zero in the second digit)

Bank 2 are the post cat 02 sensors so there are a few thinsg that could be going on:


# Damaged HO2S
# Malfunctioning ECT
# High fuel pressure
# Damaged exhaust manifold
# Damaged catalytic converter
# Oil contamination
# Cylinder misfiring
# Downstream HO2S wires improperly connected
# Damaged exhaust system pipe
# Damaged muffler/tailpipe assembly
# Retarded spark timing

This will be a tough one to troubleshoot without access to complete pinpoint diag steps. It might be worth paying the lincoln shhop diag fee to have the isolate the problem and then decide if you want to DIY.
