well here is the new heart. i spent a few hours removing stuff he didnt need to lighten the load and cleaned her up and got it ready to crate up. i should have it all bundled into a crate this week and get it shipped out. she looks pretty snazzy for an old girl!!

I wouldn't even sweat it Bill. Friends come and go and sometimes they never were your friend to begin with. I'm still learning this and I'm 41. Also, clean looking engine you got coming. Can't wait to see the final product when it's finished.

:mad: I am gonna try my damndest to not blow it up. I hope to scrape enough together to put in a meth kit just to keep it extra safe but I am about $200 short. The dammage was caused by the excessive boost, bad reluctor ring commanding erronious timing on two cylinders and me shutting the knock sensors down cause I thought it had bad tensioners. Live and learn. The tune is so freakin safe right now and I am running very very low boost. The rods and pistons are good for 420-440 rwhp and the crank can handle 600 rwhp. So with me running 320 rwhp I am well within their power capacity.

I talk to Tommy all the time. Hes a good friend of mine and we have a good time when we talk or hang out. Same thing with SVO. Hell the last time I spoke to him we had lunch and went to LRS to show off his handy work under my hood. I just hope that whatever has him doing what hes doing dont stress the poor dude out too much and hes ok. I would like to have my gnome back. :D

That being said Tommy can be quite abrasive and he went off on Jamie regarding Greg's fire thread. Yeah Tommy went a little too far and I am unsure of why he was so upset over the whole disagreement. Thats all it was, a difference of opinion so I am kinda shocked how that all went. Anyway, he was banned. I thought I saw him post a couple weeks ago but could be mistaken.

I feel its a loss for the site to loose Tommy. Yeah hes brash but hes also fun and caring. He actually cares about helping people and goes out of his way to do so. The man is a freakin wiz on the software and can dial a Mark in like nobodies business. He will also give you the shirt off his back. Hes a true friend and far from "not very useful". I have seen him help so many people on here in so many areas and some people he don't hardly know! Before he even talked to me 3 times he was offering his help to me and I was a total stranger! If it was not for him my car would never have turned into the machine it became. I drove down to Houston to meet him and work on my car plus give him a part for a friends car and made a friend for life. We don't get to hang out too much cause we live so far apart but I do talk to him a lot. So I don't want to hear people ragging on my friend, more so if you don't fuggin know him.

Tommy posted in another thread as soon as he came back and got on a tangent about something and posted the original 2 week ban PM he received. Later that afternoon the post was gone and so was he, again.
I think a higher up with a ban stick was not in the mood that day.

Tommy may have come off as a dick more often than not, however... That was his personality. I have spoken to Tommy on the phone before, and he is a great/knowlegable guy. He came off as a dick when people needed to be spoon fed information. When you were on the same knowledge level as him, you could carry on a very intellectual conversation. He just didn't put up with the BS that a lot of us do...

Tommy tried numerous times to help me with my SCT. He even emailed me after the ban and helped me again. Sure him and I got in pissing matches before, but all in all he seemed like a good guy. He seemed like someone I would have gotten along with good in person.

After this then I will have R&R every part on this car except the IRS subframe. :lol: Wont be able to find a single part on this car that dont have my finger prints on it. Thats kinda neat I guess. At least I know every square inch of the car and know its almost new again. :lol:

Hey Bill, since you are getting into a motor build and you are going to be doing a lot of critical part swap from one to the other, I was wondering if you had torque wrenches? If you don't you will need them so email me your address and I will send you some. I got a super deal on a pair one 3/8 and one 1/2 so it will cover everything you need and more. They always go on sale up here and they come with cases so they are safe to ship and store.

Bill, had I known you needed an engine stand, I would have sent you mine. They are finally redoing my garage and I gave that thing away yesterday to a Mexican. It was identical to what you have but I had no use for it so I let him have it. I had to get things cleaned out and get rid of stuff. To everyone offering tools and stuff, it's greatly appreciated...but I already own everything I need to do the motor R/R, as long as I have room and some time, this won't be all that difficult. I've done many many motor R/Rs in my life...here's just another one for the books.

Just glad that this one will be in a car worth having a new motor, and with my best friend..

On a side note..I will also be replacing the motor in my car soon, but I want the completely rebuild the block with forged internals, swap to C heads, and MAYBE convert the 93 to OBD2...so I'm in the market for a block..and my budget right now is very small

Yay! Jamie got the motor crated up today and is ready to ship! :D

wow i didnt even plan on this getting done tonight i was gonna start the crate but wasnt gonna finish tonight, its 10:30 i just got out of the shower and im going to bed with no dinner, i lost 40 lbs in sweat today and then going to my shop and playing bob vila this old engine crate i sweat out another 28 lbs. i'm fried. i hate you bill, may you slip and fall in cow shyt!!!

oh and bill will get part of my loft in my shop, i ran out of plywood and wasnt going to buy a whole sheet for the top of the crate so i took a piece of plywood from my loft, giving parts of my shop away now too dam.

Tommy is always helpful...If something bugs me about my Mark and I finally gives up on guessing I would give him a call...he have more knowledge on our Marks than most people on this board...If this board ever shuts down I know who to go to if i need to know something about Mark VIIIs...he's a great caring person and had done more for me than my real friends and aren't all the asssholes on this board is what makes LVC to be LVC?...real men are harsh if they ain't real men they should roll their pink sleeves back down, lay down their wrenches and whine about their Marks to a local Mechanic who doesn't know anything about them or run to the .org or is this .org?, I'm confused.....
