i recently just upgraded my system in my ls and changed all the doors to boston 5x7s, they sound good. and then needed some bass so i dropped 2 8" subs in the back deck (rockford) and right now i just have them running off the factory amp (for now), how many watts is it the store i get my stuff from was wondering and also if you can tweek it at all. im also putting 2 12s in the trunk. im not sure if i want to i like the trunk space for once (event thought i dont use it) so basically whats the wattage of the factory amp. pics will be posted soon.

the Alpine 6CD in-dash - 180w total - 45watt per channel x 4 (2 front door, 2 rear door)

the factory rear amp - 85watt

i put 2 12's in my trunk from my mustang w/750watt rms mtx amp all running from my stangs head unit (i got too much time on my hands!) and i could barely hear them. i didn't cut out the rear deck though. we must have a ton of sound deadedning yall...pb

any pics of the 8" subs installed? i am looking to complete my system and need some ideas

im going to post some tomorrow no time today, but i think im taking them out not as much bass as i though i could get out of the factory amp (i know stupid thinking) im just goping to drop some 6.5 bostons and im getting 2 12" xtant and a 1000 watt xtant amp tomorrow so it should really pound. ill get the pics thought i promise. it looks sick though

i'm not sure about the box thing you were asking me... i have no clue, as i dont have speakers in my back deck, so i have no idea. i say take off the boxes, see how it sounds. if its all distorted, put them back on...

one thing i do know for sure, is that is by the pic you took, you need to do one of two things:

1) get your windows tinted
2) take those subs out of the back deck!!!

someone else is going to think your setup is sick, and take those subs. that right there is just begging to get your car broken into. one thing i know, DONT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE VISIBLE!!!!

it does look good, but maybe too good for other people to be seeing! thats just my $0.02

i have them tinted 35 all around. it was sunny here i got good light throught the back window. also theres the stock covers that i can put over there when i want to just took off for pic. i made sure when i put in that it remains as stock as possible. i cut a trim rims that just comes out when i take them out so theres not a big 8" hole there. and i emptied my box orry bout that. we should have more room in there by the way JOEY more space in my box pleeezzz
