Well went to Missouri to pick up my kids.Took the mark, ran great,
i averaged about 75-80 mph and got 27 mpg cool right. My mother-in-law told me to bring my bike carrier because she had bought the kids a couple of bikes at goodwill for 10$,i said ok.So i get up there, load everything up which wasn't much, put the bikes on the rack.topped off the tank and headed back to Florida, reset my mileage, first tank of gas i got 17.6 mpg!thought maybe i just got some bad gas.reset the trip computer again,17.6 right on.pampered the car for the next hundred miles or so,17.8 hollycrap.the only thing i could think of was wind drag from the bikes, these bikes were large beach cruisers with big seats.i pulled into a rest area, removed the seats from the bikes, reset the computer and got 18.8 mpg! called the wife and told her it would be cheaper for me to ditch the bikes and buy new ones when i get home.lol. kids didn't want anything to do with that...So..drivin up to Missouri from Daytona beach cost me 95$ and drivin back cost me 165$ because of 2 10$ bikes.

Should have 'accidentaly' left the strap off at that rest stop, lol :D
I'm really surprised two bikes made that big a difference...
